CHITTENANGO, N.Y. — The Oneida Indian Nation on Wednesday formally opened the Lounge with Caesars Sports at Yellow Brick Road Casino, which it calls the “largest sportsbook in New York.”

Wednesday’s opening was timed for the beginning of the NFL regular season, the Oneida Nation said in a news release. Green Bay visits Chicago to open the NFL season on Thursday night.

The newest sports book is the Oneida Indian Nation’s third sports-betting venue, following the Aug. 1 openings of the Lounge with Caesars Sports at Turning Stone Resort Casino and Point Place Casino.

Competitors — Tioga Downs Casino Resort in Nichols in Tioga County and Del Lago Resort & Casino in Tyre in Seneca County — have also opened sportsbooks.

Ray Halbritter, Oneida Nation Representative and Nation Enterprises CEO, was joined by New York State Sen. Robert Antonacci (R–Syracuse); Madison County Chairman John Becker; and Greg Lancette, president of the Central–Northern New York Trades Council, at the formal-opening event.

The nearly 9,000 square foot venue is designed to accommodate more than 250 sports fans, featuring a custom-built 32-foot video screen and more than 35 additional large-screen TVs. Guests can also enjoy games at the bar with cocktails and menu items that the Oneida Indian Nation’s culinary team developed, per the release.

The venue also has six “fan caves,” which offer private lounge-style viewing areas with leather couches and chairs, guest controlled screens, and personal food and beverage service, the Oneida Nation said.
