Oneida Nation opens ‘Exit 33’ to the public

VERONA — The Oneida Indian Nation on Thursday night opened to the public “Exit 33,” a new multi-venue entertainment complex at Turning Stone Resort Casino.

The Oneida Nation on Monday night used the venue for the first time to recognize the nearly 300 construction workers and building-trades craftsman that constructed the new facility.

Work started on “Exit 33” last November.

In addition to the construction jobs, the $25 million project also creates more than 125 permanent new jobs at the venue, the Oneida Nation said in a news release.

“Exit 33” includes Tin Rooster, a barbeque and dance hall featuring a “country atmosphere;” The Gig, which will feature local bands, food, and beverages; and Turquoise Tiger, a “sophisticated” lounge and cocktail bar, inspired by 1940’s film noir (stylish Hollywood crime dramas), with entertainment that includes songstresses, pianists, and comedians, according to the Oneida Nation.
