Oneida Nation to host job fair for Yellow Brick Road Casino March 16 & 18

CHITTENANGO, N.Y. — The Oneida Nation has scheduled an upcoming job fair for its new Yellow Brick Road Casino in Chittenango.

The Oneidas announced the job fair in a news release issued Tuesday.

The Oneidas have scheduled the job fair for March 16 and March 18 at the new recruiting office at 700 W. Genesee St. in Chittenango, located in the same plaza as the casino.

Oneida Nation recruiters will be conducting “on-the-spot” interviews for more than 250 permanent full-time and part-time positions in various departments.

They include property management, gaming, food & beverage, information technology, guest services, culinary, and security, the Oneida Nation said.

Applicants interested in employment at Yellow Brick Road Casino can visit the new recruiting office between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on March 16 and 12:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on March 18, according to the news release.

The Oneidas encourage interested candidates to pre-register before March 16 at www.YellowBrickRoadCasino.com, although pre-registration is not required, the news release said.

The Oneida Nation last December announced plans to expand its upstate New York operations with a new $20 million, 67,000-square-foot casino in the village of Chittenango.

The Yellow Brick Road Casino will feature more than 430 Vegas–style cash slot machines, a 500-seat bingo hall, two casual dining options, a country-western bar, and a general store.

The new facility will “complement” existing Oneida Nation businesses, the organization said. The Oneida Nation already operates the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona.

The Oneida Nation anticipates that the Yellow Brick Road Casino will open either during the spring or summer seasons, according to the news release.
