WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Oneida Indian Nation donated $10 million to The American Revolution Center in Washington, D.C. to recognize the role the Oneidas played in the Revolutionary War.
Oneida Nation Representative Ray Halbritter presented the donation to H.F. (Gerry) Lenfest, chairman, and Michael C. Quinn, president and CEO of The American Revolution Center.
“As they did more than two centuries ago, the Oneida Indian Nation has again stepped forward to support the spirit of the American Revolution,” Quinn said. “Their generous contribution will help match Gerry Lenfest’s $40 million challenge to construct The Museum of the American Revolution.”
