Onondaga County COVID-19 death toll rises to 90 after six deaths in nursing homes

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The death toll from COVID-19 in Onondaga County has risen to 90 with six additional deaths in nursing homes in the past day.

Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon on Friday announced the deaths to begin his daily coronavirus briefing at the Oncenter. He didn’t have demographic information on those who passed away.

“We want to just take a moment and think about these individuals who lost their lives, their loved ones, and their families, and everybody we’ve lost in this process,” McMahon said after announcing the deaths.
