Onondaga County reports seven COVID deaths for second straight weekend

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Onondaga County had seven COVID-19 deaths for the three-day weekend from Saturday to Monday, according to County Executive Ryan McMahon.

“We had a very tough weekend losing 7 neighbors,” he tweeted. The county also had seven COVID deaths the previous weekend.

 McMahon said four males (two in their 50s, two in their 60s) and two females (one in her 60s and one in her 90s) died from the disease this past weekend. The seventh victim, for which no demographic information was available, died in a nursing home.
