Onondaga County seeks proposals for new downtown hotel; to create hotel initiative

Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon on Tuesday made two announcements related to hotels. The county plans to seek proposals from the private sector to build a new hotel on a county-owned parking lot just east of the Everson Museum of Art. McMahon also wants to create the Onondaga County Hotel Initiative to offer grant awards to cover funding gaps in hotel construction and to help existing hotels add more rooms to their stock.
