SKANEATELES, N.Y. — The Onondaga County Health Department has confirmed that an employee at the LakeHouse Pub in Skaneateles has tested positive for COVID-19.
Members of the public who visited the pub at 6 West Genesee St. last Thursday, Aug. 20 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. should monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days.
The employee was wearing a face mask while working. County Health Department investigators are working to identify all close contacts of the individual and notifying them.
If symptoms do develop, the department says stay home and call your doctor for further guidance. If you are elderly, have underlying medical conditions, or are immunocompromised, call your doctor early even if your illness is mild.
Anyone can get tested for COVID-19 by visiting one of the clinics listed at covid19.ongov.net/.
The department says some people who are positive for COVID-19 do not have symptoms, so “it is important” to stay at least six feet away from others and wear a face covering or mask when in public. It also advises people to continue to wash your hands often, cover coughs and sneezes, and disinfect surfaces to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
