Palmerton named to GZA GeoEnvironmental executive team

DeWITT — GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. announced that it has appointed David L. Palmerton, Jr., to its executive team as Appalachian regional operating officer.

 

GZA, a Norwood, Mass.–based environmental and geotechnical consulting firm, a year ago acquired Palmerton Group, LLC, a DeWitt–based firm founded by Palmerton in 2002.

 

Now a division of GZA, the Palmerton Group is an environmental consulting firm primarily focusing on the oil and gas industry. It has offices in DeWitt, Buffalo, and Pittsburgh, Pa.

Palmerton is a licensed professional geologist in Illinois, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Pennsylvania; a certified professional geologist; and certified hazardous materials manager. His areas of specialization are upstream oil and gas environmental management; environmental due diligence, investigations, and remediation; hydrogeology; regulatory negotiations; and litigation support.

 

Palmerton received a bachelor’s degree in geoscience from State University of New York College at Buffalo.

 

“Dave joined GZA less than a year ago and has had a major impact on the company already,” William Hadge, president and CEO of GZA GeoEnvironmental, said in a news release.
