ROME, N.Y. — Assured Information Security (AIS) announced it has named Travis Akers as business director, Navy (C5ISR).
In this position, Akers leads the shaping, pursuit, and capture of business for AIS. He works across the organization, supporting various business lines in identifying and landing new business. He also works closely with the business-development team to grow existing accounts, according to an AIS news release.
Prior to joining AIS, Akers served with the U.S. Navy for more than 20 years, most recently as director of intelligence — MPRWS. He joins AIS through the Hiring Our Heroes Program, which connects the military community — including service members, military spouses, and veterans — with businesses to help create economic opportunity and a diversified workforce.
