People news: AIS promotes Souva to advanced research accounts manager

ROME, N.Y. — AIS, a Rome–based cybersecurity company, recently announced it has promoted Scott Souva to VP, advanced research accounts manager.

He previously held positions at AIS as project manager, program manager, operations manager and most recently as the director of corporate development, according to a company news release.

Souva has 35 years of experience working in cybersecurity, information technology, and operations. He also served as a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force. He earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology from SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica, a master’s degree in computer information systems from the University of Phoenix, and a master’s degree in aerospace science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida.

AIS, founded in 2001, solves cybersecurity through software and hardware. Employees research, write software, provide support, and build equipment to test systems to ensure they are secure. It is headquartered at 153 Brooks Road in the Griffiss Business & Technology Park.
