People news: AmeriCU Credit Union appoints member-partner advisor

UTICA, N.Y. — Alicia Smith has joined AmeriCU Credit Union as a memberpartner advisor for the Rome, Utica, Oneida, and Herkimer areas, the credit union announced.

Smith brings more than 20 years of experience and knowledge, with a focus on health and wellness, to her new position. In this role, she works with businesses, nonprofits, and local community partners to set their employees up for financial success.

I look forward to assisting fellow community members and businesses reach their financial goals by providing education and convenient financial solutions, she said in an AmeriCU news release. I am excited to bring these services to my local community and help further build relationships.

AmeriCUs Business Partner Program is a perk offered to employees of the credit unions business members at no cost. AmeriCU offers on-site financial-wellness seminars.

Outside of work, Smith volunteers at the Utica Food Pantry and actively participates in community outreach and collaborates with various community organizations to promote community engagement.

AmeriCU Credit Uniona member-owned, not-for-profit financial institutionhas $2.7 billion in assets. It serves more than 162,000 members from 20 branch locations.
