ROME, N.Y. — AmeriCU Credit Union has hired Heidi Stewart as manager of its Griffiss Financial Center in Rome.

In her new role, Stewart will oversee and manage the financial center’s day-to-day operations while building a solid team, improving member service, and focusing on the local community, the credit union announced.

Stewart brings more than 18 years of credit-union experience, including five years as a branch manager, to the role. She served in various credit-union roles including branch manager at The Summit Federal Credit Union in Syracuse, member advisor II at SECU Credit Union in Maryland, and loan officer and branch manager at Landmark Credit Union in Illinois, according to her LinkedIn profile.

AmeriCU Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial institution with $2.7 billion in assets. It serves more than 157,000 members in a nine-county region from 20 locations in Central New York and Northern New York.
