ROME, N.Y. — AmeriCU announced it has appointed Gail Rizzo-Spilka as assistant VP of membership development.

Rizzo-Spilka will be responsible for growing and cultivating relationships with business partners, owners, and members of AmeriCU. She will oversee a team of staff handling business partners, outreach, and financial education.

“At AmeriCU, we’ve put an emphasis on the member experience,” Ron Belle, chief experience officer at the credit union, said in a news release. “Bringing Gail on board will give us the opportunity to provide a higher level of member engagement and satisfaction than ever before.”

Rizzo-Spilka comes to AmeriCU from Empower Federal Credit Union, where worked for nearly the last 10 years as a business development officer, according to her LinkedIn profile. In all, she has 15 years of sales and business-development experience, the release stated.

AmeriCU is a not-for-profit financial institution serving nine counties in Central and Northern New York. Headquartered in Rome, it serves more than 130,000 through its 19 full-service branch offices and a member service center.
