People news: Amy Law of Preferred Mutual elected to Commerce Chenango board

NEW BERLIN, N.Y. — Amy Law, financial operations manager at Preferred Mutual Insurance Co., has been elected to the Commerce Chenango board of directors. She will serve a three-year term, effective immediately, according to a company news release.

The board of directors is responsible for the governance and policymaking of Commerce Chenango, an economic development and chamber of commerce organization.

Law has been with Preferred Mutual for 19 years. She is a graduate of the SUNY College of Agriculture and Technology at Morrisville. A lifetime resident of Chenango County, she currently resides in Oxford.

Preferred Mutual provides property and casualty insurance coverage to more than 235,000 individual and business customers through a network of more than 450 independent agents throughout New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.
