People news: Berkshire Bank promotes Volytska to assistant VP

UTICA, N.Y. — Berkshire Bank announced it has promoted Khrystyna Volytska to assistant VP, relationship manager in its business banking unit, where she will manage and grow the companys portfolio of commercial clients in Central New York.

Khrystynas experience in commercial finance and with the banks portfolio of business-banking clients will ensure our small and medium-sized clients in Central New York continue to receive the support they need to grow and prosper, Robert Nichols, senior VP of business banking, said in a press release announcing the promotion.

Volytska has more than 12 years of experience in the financialservices industry. Before joining Berkshire Bank, she worked at Beacon Federal as a commerciallending intern before becoming a businessbanking portfolio manager.

She earned her bachelors degree in international relations and economics from Syracuse University. A resident of East Syracuse, in her community activities, she is active with the Ukrainian National Home, McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center, and the Central New York Culture Council at Berkshire Bank.

Berkshire Bank is a subsidiary of Berkshire Hills Bancorp, Inc., (NYSE:BHLB), with $12.4 billion in assets and 96 locations. Locally, the bank has branches in Rome, New Hartford, Whitesboro, North Utica, West Winfield, and Ilion. The bank plans to sell its East Syracuse branch to Pathfinder Bank.
