SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Barclay Damon announced Traci Boris has joined the firm as partner in its health care & human services and labor & employment practice areas.

Her primary office location is Syracuse. Boris mainly focuses her practice on counseling individual practitioners, owners, administrators, executives, directors, and employees of health-care practices and health care-related facilities, including physicians, licensed medical personnel, hospitals, and clinics. Boris has developed and overseen hospital policies to implement new laws relating to the care and treatment of psychiatric patients, MOLST, HIPAA, and the Safe Act. She represents hospital clients in employment arbitrations and mental-hygiene hearings and provides guidance to administration on fraud and abuse laws.

Boris’s prior experience includes working at Mohawk Valley Health System as general counsel and VP of legal and compliance, and before that as assistant general counsel, according to her biography on the Barclay Damon website. She also previously was a partner at the law firm of Gale & Dancks, LLC.

Boris earned her law degree from Albany Law School and her bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oneonta.
