SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Carrols Restaurant Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: TAST) announced that it has appointed Jared L. Landaw as the company’s VP and general counsel, effective Feb. 8.
Syracuse–based Carrols is the largest Burger King franchisee in the U.S.
Landaw previously was chief operating officer and general counsel of Barington Capital Group, L.P., a New York City–based investment firm, where he worked since June 2004. Prior to that, he served as VP of law at International Specialty Products Inc. and as an attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.
Landaw is currently a member of the board of directors of Costar Technologies, Inc., a publicly traded company that develops, manufactures, and distributes products for the security, surveillance, and industrial video markets.
He received his law degree from the Columbia University School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Colgate University.
