DeWITT, N.Y. — Community Bank N.A. recently announced that it has hired Thomas Breed as VP and senior commercial banking officer in DeWitt.

He has more than 30 years of experience in the financial industry. Throughout his career, Breed has worked with several banks in the CNY area, including Citizen’s Bank and JPMorgan Chase Bank, according to a Community Bank news release. He most recently served as senior VP and business banking sales leader at KeyBank, where he worked for 12 years.

In his new role, Breed will manage existing commercial-banking clients, as well as develop and grow new commercial client relationships in the region. He will be responsible for training, guiding, and assisting branch lenders in the commercial-lending field.

“We’re thrilled to welcome someone with Tom’s level of experience to our team,” Luke Fagan, Community Bank’s VP and senior commercial lending officer, said in the release. “Tom has spent his entire career serving Syracuse, so no one knows this community better than he does. He is a true expert when it comes to serving the needs of our customers, businesses and community.”

Breed earned his bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University. He is a life-long resident of the Syracuse area and currently resides in Liverpool.
