People news: Creighton Manning hires Carroll

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Creighton Manning Engineering, LLP announced it has hired Sarah Carroll as a project manager.

Carroll is a transportation engineer based in Syracuse and has 10 years of traffic engineering and transportation-design experience, the firm said. She will be managing a variety of multi-modal projects including complete-streets design and transit improvements for municipalities, state agencies, and transit authorities.

Carroll graduated from Northeastern University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. After moving from Boston to Syracuse, she spent the past eight years working for consultants in land development and transportation, Creighton Manning said. Carroll has managed numerous projects throughout New York state related to traffic, highway design, locally administered federal aid (LAFA) projects, and private development.

She is certified as a professional engineer (PE) and professional traffic operations engineer (PTOE).

Creighton Manning is a civil-engineering firm headquartered near Albany. The firm’s past Central New York projects include design and construction support services for the North Country Welcome Center, near Alexandria Bay in Jefferson County, per its website. Creighton Manning also provided emergency-repair services on a bridge over the Oswego River.
