Rick Roberts — the popular 3-7 p.m. afternoon drive-time, on-air personality at 93Q, who has also been the station’s music director for 12 years — has been promoted to 93Q assistant program director and 93Q digital content manager. Roberts has been with 93Q for 21 years.

Joey Walker, Cumulus Syracuse production director, has been promoted to the 10 a.m.-3 p.m., midday, on-air slot at 93Q, and named digital content manager for sister stations WAQX and WXTL.

“We are pleased to promote from within… Rick assumes all Assistant Program Director duties, along with Digital Content oversight/management and the afternoon drive air shift. Joey brings talent and enthusiasm to the 93Q midday slot. Both will continue to develop new opportunities for us in the digital and social media realm,” Tom Mitchell, operations manager at Cumulus, said in a release.
