People news: Dahlgren joins Coughlin & Gerhart

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — Coughlin & Gerhart, LLP, a Binghamton–based law firm, announced that Wilbur (Bud) Dahlgren has joined as of counsel, effective April 1.

Dahlgren brings 30-plus years of experience as an attorney. He most recently worked at the firm of Giangrieco Law, PC in Montrose, Pennsylvania. Before that, he headed the estates and trusts department at Hinman, Howard & Kattell, LLP in Binghamton.

Dahlgren’s practice areas include wills and trusts, estate planning and administration, elder law, LLC and partnership planning, income taxation and tax-exempt organizations, and gas, oil, and mineral rights planning, according to a Coughlin & Gerhart news release. Dahlgren is licensed to practice law in New York, Pennsylvania, and Florida.

Coughlin & Gerhart, which was founded in the 1890s, has grown to be a multi-service law firm, with more than 40 lawyers and a professional support staff. The firm’s main office is located at 99 Corporate Drive in Binghamton. It also has branch offices in Ithaca, Owego, Bainbridge, Hancock, Walton, and Montrose, Pennsylvania.
