SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Dannible & McKee, LLP announced it has promoted Shawn Layo, a certified public accountant, to partner in the firm, effective Thursday.
Syracuse–based Dannible & McKee is a certified public accounting and consulting firm with offices in Syracuse, Binghamton, and Albany.
Layo has worked in the firm’s tax department for more than 19 years. As a partner, he will continue overseeing tax engagements for clients with a focus on construction, retail automotive, manufacturing, multi-state corporations and high-net-worth individuals, the firm said.
He has experience in individual and corporate-tax planning, financial planning, multi-state taxation, research and development, and New York State tax credits.
Layo graduated from Utica College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).
