People news: Envisage taps Prescott to lead institutional-sales team

ITHACA, N.Y. — Envisage Information Systems, LLC of Ithaca announced that Jon Prescott has joined the firm’s senior leadership team as vice president of institutional-business development.

Envisage describes itself as the “largest independent software-development company” providing web, common remitter, and workflow services for the retirement industry.

The firm has been serving mid- to large-scale record keepers and financial companies since 1995, the company said. Envisage says it helps customers with remittance processing, compliance, communication, and calculations in the 401(k), 403(b) and 457 markets.

“[Prescott’s] extensive background in third-party administration gives him an understanding of administrative workflow that retirement-plan service providers will find to be invaluable. We’re pleased he’s adding his expertise to the Envisage team,” Steff McGonagle, president and CEO of Envisage, said in a news release.

Prior to joining Envisage, Prescott had worked for 27 years in several capacities at CPI Qualified Plan Consultants, Inc., Envisage said. Those roles included director of relationship management and strategic initiatives, chief marketing officer, and president.

Prescott earned a degree in marketing and finance from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kan., according to the news release.

Envisage is a member of the TIAA-CREF group of companies.
