SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Everson Museum of Art announced it has appointed William J. Gilbane, III and Jessica Danial to its board of trustees.

Gilbane is a fifth-generation member of his family’s 143-year-old construction and real-estate development firm. In his role as senior VP and managing director of the New York Division of Gilbane Building Co., he leads sales and operations across the state, according to an Everson Museum news release. Gilbane is active at numerous museums across the country, including the Cleveland Museum of Fine Art, the Brooklyn Museum, and Corning Museum of Glass.

Danial is currently communication liaison for Light Work, serves on the board of directors for the Skaneateles Festival, and is completing her master’s degree work in the Janklow Arts Leadership Administration program at Syracuse University, according to the release. She is a past board member of the Landmark Theatre.

“I am pleased that Bill and Jessica will offer their expertise and guidance as the Everson strives to serves its community in the best possible ways,” Elizabeth Dunbar, CEO of the Everson Museum, said in the release.

The Everson Museum of Art, which dates back to 1897, says it is internationally recognized for its collection of ceramics, art-video collection, and its distinctive structural design by the noted architect I.M. Pei.
