People news: Generations Bank hires Deknatel as business development officer

SENECA FALLS, N.Y. – Generations Bank announced it has hired Matthew Deknatel as assistant VP and business development officer in the Farmington and Rochester areas.

Deknatel brings more than 12 years of management and loan-origination experience in the financial industry in various roles, including loan officer and branch manager, according to a Generations Bank news release. He holds a master’s degree in strategic leadership from Roberts Wesleyan College.

Deknatal grew up in Washington, D.C. and has lived in Rochester for nearly 20 years. He has been on two mission trips to Haiti to help build an orphanage and is also a musician who has played guitar for 25 years and helped write and record four albums, per the release.

Generations Bank is headquartered in Seneca Falls and has additional branch offices in Auburn (2), Union Springs, Waterloo (2) Geneva, Phelps, and Farmington.
