UTICA, N.Y. — Adirondack Bank announced it has appointed Ryan Gilroy as its new VP of commercial banking.

Gilroy brings diverse experience in financial services, commercial banking, and relationship building. Prior to joining Adirondack Bank, he worked for NBT Bank, where he was responsible for a range of new business development.

“We are very excited to have Ryan on board,” John Buffa, Adirondack Bank’s executive VP and chief lending officer, said in a news release. “His experience and knowledge will complement our growing team of commercial bankers.”

Gilroy, who grew up in South Utica, received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Rochester and spent almost 20 years in Rochester after college. He returned to the Utica area last year with his family.

Adirondack Bank, headquartered in Utica, is a locally owned and operated full-service community bank with more than $1 billion in assets and 19 offices across upstate New York.
