People news: Goldberg Segalla adds attorney in Syracuse–area office

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The law firm of Goldberg Segalla announced it has recently added Erin M. Tyreman as a special counsel in its civil litigation and trial group in its Syracuse–area office.

Tyreman was previously an attorney with Melvin & Melvin, PLLC in Syracuse. She is an experienced litigator, focusing her practice on defending a wide range of civil-litigation matters from inception through trial, Goldberg Segalla said in a news release. “She is well versed in insurance defense, including personal injury, automobile, construction, labor law, dram shop, product liability, property damage, and subrogation matters,” the firm said.

Tyreman has also represented clients in employment matters involving discrimination, wrongful termination, and retaliation claims. She also has extensive experience in all facets of real-property litigation including riparian rights, adverse possession, boundary disputes, premises liability, title disputes, and easement disputes, according to Goldberg Segalla.

 Tyreman earned her bachelor’s degree from St. John Fisher College, near Rochester, and her law degree from the University of District Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law.

Buffalo–based Goldberg Segalla is a national civil-litigation law firm with 22 offices in 10 states spanning major metro markets across the U.S., and employing more than 400 lawyers. The firm’s Syracuse–area office is located on Widewaters Parkway in DeWitt, according to its website. It’s one of seven Goldberg Segalla offices in New York state.
