SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Hancock Estabrook, LLP announced that Michael P. Carlson has joined the law firm as an associate attorney in its real estate practice area.

Prior to joining Syracuse–based Hancock Estabrook, Carlson practiced real-estate law for more than 10 years in Massachusetts.

Carlson represents purchasers, sellers, and lenders in all aspects of residential and commercial real-estate transactions from initial contact through the closing, Hancock Estabrook said in a release. He has also represented clients in real-estate litigation, including negotiations concerning contract disputes, title issues, and landlord-tenant matters.

Carlson received his bachelor’s degree from Stonehill College and law degree from the New England School of Law.
