People news: Hancock Estabrook names Benda marketing director

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Hancock Estabrook, LLP announced it has appointed Renee G. Benda as marketing director in the law firm’s headquarters office in Syracuse.

Benda has more than a decade of experience in the development and execution of digital branding, advertising, business development, events, public relations, marketing strategy and analytics for various international, regional, and mid-market companies, the firm said in a news release.

Benda was previously marketing manager for the Syracuse–based law firm, Barclay Damon LLP. She holds a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oswego.

 “With the benefit of Renee’s background and experience, we look forward to enhancing the quality of the communication and service we provide to our clients,” Janet Callahan, Hancock Estabrook’s managing partner said. “It’s an exciting time for the Firm. As we continue to grow, we are developing additional avenues to deliver our very best, which is what our clients know they can expect from us.”

Hancock Estabrook’s previous marketing director was Carrie Ryder, who is now chief marketing officer at the law firm of Hodgson Russ LLP in Buffalo.

Besides its headquarters in Axa Tower I in downtown Syracuse, Hancock Estabrook also operates offices in Ithaca, Rome, and Albany. The firm employs more than 100 people, including more than 50 attorneys.
