Harris Beach PLLC announced it has elected attorney Kelly Griffith of East Syracuse as a partner, effective Jan. 1.

Griffith, whose practice focuses on bankruptcy, restructuring, and reorganizations, represents debtors, creditors, trustees, and committees in a variety of bankruptcy and litigation matters.

Prior to joining Harris Beach, Griffith practiced bankruptcy law in Washington, D.C.

From 1997 to 1999, she served as a judicial clerk to the late Martin V. B. Bostetter, Jr., chief judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

She earned her law degree in 1997 from St. John’s University School of Law and her bachelor’s degree in 1990 from Binghamton University.

Founded in 1856, Rochester–based Harris Beach has more than 200 attorneys practicing in New York offices that also include Syracuse, Albany, Buffalo, Ithaca, Melville, New York City, Saratoga Springs, Uniondale, and White Plains, along with New Haven, Connecticut and Newark, New Jersey.
