People news: Helio Health names Mancini chief clinical officer

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Helio Health, Inc. — a nonprofit provider of services to promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental-health disorders, and other health issues — announced it has recently promoted Lisa Mancini to VP and chief clinical officer.

She is responsible for oversight of service utilization, quality, trends, implementation of evidence-based practices, and the training needs of the organization’s clinical staff. In her role, Mancini monitors key performance indicators for the organization and oversees process-improvement initiatives. She provides leadership in the development of short and long term strategic clinical development objectives and execution of those objectives.

Mancini has worked at Helio Health, formerly Syracuse Behavioral Healthcare, for more than 15 years, serving in various clinical and administrative roles. In her previous roles with the organization, she has served as the inpatient-services director, director of quality assurance, compliance, and training for the organization, and team leader of permanent (HUD) housing. Mancini has been instrumental in the development of new clinical services in Syracuse, Rochester, Binghamton and Utica, Helio Health said.

A Syracuse native, Mancini received her bachelor’s degree in public justice and psychology from SUNY Oswego, a master’s degree in social work, and an MBA, both from Syracuse University. She is a licensed master of social work and a credentialed alcohol and substance abuse counselor.
