HERKIMER, N.Y. — Herkimer County Community College recently announced it has hired Joshua M. Muzzi as a campus peace officer.

Muzzi, of Johnstown, previously worked as a peace officer at Saratoga Hospital and also served as a public-safety officer at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a residence counselor for the Mental Health Association in Amsterdam.

He is currently enrolled in the pre-employment police basic training program at Herkimer College, holds an associate degree in liberal arts from Fulton-Montgomery Community College, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Siena College.
