People news: Herkimer College appoints Craig as dean of enrollment management

HERKIMER, N.Y. — Herkimer County Community College announced it has appointed Erin B. Craig as its new dean of enrollment management.

Craig will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing student recruitment and retention initiatives, supervising the offices of admissions and financial aid, and providing leadership for the college’s enrollment management and marketing committee, the college said in a news release.

Craig most recently served as director of admissions for Georgetown University’s School of Continuing Studies in Washington, D.C. since October 2014. She also brings nine years of admissions experience from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, where she served as an admissions counselor, assistant director, associate director, and director, respectively. Her experience includes a variety of admissions activities including strategic planning, recruitment program development, and marketing.           

Craig holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and master’s degree in education from Le Moyne.

Herkimer County Community College in its latest academic year had a full-time enrollment of nearly 2,000 students and a part-time enrollment of nearly 1,500 students, according to BJNN Research.
