HERKIMER, N.Y. — Herkimer County Community College has appointed Matthew Babula of Marcy to the position of director of its K through 12 Connections program.
Babula most recently served as an academic-advisement specialist at the college, where he disseminated information related to student standing and progression through academic programs while ensuring student retention and success.
In his new role, he will head the K through 12 Connections program, which oversees components of the college’s High School Concurrent Enrollment (College Now) and New York State Pathways in Technology (P-TECH) programs.
Babula holds an associate degree in general studies from Mohawk Valley Community College, a bachelor’s degree in psychology from SUNY Polytechnic Institute, and a master’s degree in school counseling from The College of Saint Rose.
