CLINTON, N.Y. — Indium Corporation announced it has promoted Steve Foster to associate director, where he is responsible for implementing operational strategies to ensure plant operations meet or exceed the company’s goals and objectives.
Foster oversees the plant-management teams at two of the company’s North American facilities, ensuring they operate safely and in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Foster joined Indium in 2000 and was instrumental in the creation and installation of the company’s IATF 16949-certified business-management system. He became plant manager in 2019 and senior manager of manufacturing operations in 2022.
“Over the last four years, our operations have grown steadily under Steve’s leadership,” Brian Reid, Indium’s VP of global relations, said in a news release. “Despite the uncertainty of a global pandemic and volatile market, he implemented global best practices and helped drive productivity improvements. As we look to the future, we know that our teams and business will benefit from Steve’s strategic vision, innovative thinking, and commitment to success.”
Foster holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from SUNY Polytechnic Institute. He is an Exemplar Global-trained auditor for ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 and earned his Six Sigma brown-belt certification.
