SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Barclay Damon, LLP announced the promotion of John S. Zollo to partner.

Zollo works in the law firm’s Syracuse office and is a member of the Labor & Employment practice area.

His practice includes all areas of employee-benefits law, including qualified retirement plans, nonqualified deferred-compensation plans, health and welfare plans, plan investigations, and correction programs. A significant portion of Zollo’s practice is devoted to employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) including ESOP transactions, compliance, and fiduciary counseling.

He has worked with benefit plans in multiple capacities and has served as an administrative committee member for 401(k) and profit sharing plans, including a plan with more than 4,000 participants.

Zollo is a graduate Columbia University and received a master’s degree in psychology from Ohio University and his J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law.
