People news: Kelberman Center hires new community relations director

UTICA, N.Y. — The Kelberman Center recently added Bethany Wendt as its new director of community relations.

In this role, Wendt works with leadership to develop and achieve both short-term and long-term goals relating to community relations and partnerships within the Utica and Syracuse areas.

She also assists the agency in increasing collaborations with future community partners to strengthen the impact of the Kelberman Center within the community.

Wendt has many years of experience working within the intellectual and developmental disability community including residential coordination, care-management supervision, and as a corporate trainer in learning and development. She holds a master’s degree in health-care administration from Utica University (formerly Utica College) and a bachelor’s degree in education from SUNY Cortland.

The Kelberman Center provides autism services for children, adults, and families across the Mohawk Valley and Central New York throughout all phases of life.
