BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — Keystone Associates Architects, Engineers and Surveyors, LLC, announced that John Saraceno, Jr., has joined the firm as sustainability manager.

In this new position, Saraceno will facilitate the development and promotion of Keystone’s sustainability initiatives. That includes serving as an internal resource for business practices and educational programs that aim to increase both awareness and implementation of sustainable practices throughout the firm’s multiple disciplines, according to a Keystone Associates news release.

Saraceno has a bachelor’s degree in sustainability management and an associate degree in arts from Saint Petersburg College in Saint Petersburg, Fla. and an associate-of-science degree from SUNY Broome Community College in Binghamton, the release stated. He is a LEED-accredited green associate.

Keystone Associates Architects, Engineers and Surveyors (also doing business as Hawk Engineering), is a full-service architectural, engineering, and surveying firm headquartered at 58 Exchange St. in Binghamton.

The firm currently employs more than 30 people, including registered architects, professional engineers, land surveyors, certified planners, designers, and CADD technicians.

Keystone says it provides survey, design, and construction-phase services to municipal, educational, commercial, industrial, nonprofit, and residential clients throughout upstate New York, the Catskills, and northeastern Pennsylvania.
