CICERO, N.Y. — SRC Inc. announced it has hired Yuan Kong as vice president of quality.

“In this position, Kong and his team will maintain and enhance the already high standards of quality for both hardware and software products at SRC throughout their entire product life cycle,” the company said in a release.

Kong comes to SRC with 20 years of experience spanning product development, reliability, and quality for global organizations in the retail and electronics industries. He previously worked at YETI Coolers as head of quality, managing the efforts of corporate quality, supplier quality, new product development quality, and process improvement.

Kong holds a master’s degree in engineering management from Santa Clara University. He also has bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering and computer science and material science and engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.

SRC is a nonprofit research and development company, headquartered in Cicero, that focuses on areas that include defense, environment, and intelligence.
