People news: Loretto names Hoehner general counsel

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Loretto has appointed Holly Hoehner vice president and general counsel. She will also serve as Loretto’s corporate compliance officer.

Loretto is a network of agencies providing long-term care services for older adults in Central New York, according to its website.

Hoehner started working for Loretto in April, according to her LinkedIn page.

Prior to her new role, Hoehner was a partner in the Syracuse law firm of Hiscock & Barclay LLP in its business services and health-care and human-services practice groups, Loretto said in a news release. Her legal practice has focused on business transactions and contracts, along with ethics and corporate-compliance matters, particularly in the area of health-care fraud and abuse.

Prior to joining Hiscock & Barclay, Hoehner was assistant general counsel of Taro Pharmaceuticals’ (NYSE: TARO) location in Hawthorne, N.Y. in Westchester County, where she developed Taro’s compliance program and chaired its compliance committee.

Hoehner has served on the board of directors and the governance committee at the Syracuse–based MedTech Association, according to the Loretto news release.

She is also a pro-bono volunteer for the Say Yes to Education program and has served on the executive leadership committee of the Go Red For Women campaign of the American Heart Association.
