People news: Lyskawa joins Christopher Community as CFO

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Christopher Community, Inc. — a nonprofit development and management company providing affordable housing for low- and moderate-income people — recently announced it has hired Kyle Lyskawa as chief financial officer.

Lyskawa is responsible for leading all financial administration, business planning, and budgeting and reports directly to Christopher Community CEO/President Justin Rudgick.

“We are excited to have Kyle Lyskawa join Christopher Community, Inc. He will complement our strong performance-oriented culture, and we believe he is the right choice to lead our finance administration,” Rudgick said in a Sept. 9 news release.

Lyskawa, a certified public accountant, brings nine years of professional experience in financial and audit management. He previously was an audit manager at the Bonadio Group. Lyskawa holds an MBA from SUNY Oswego. He is president-elect of the Syracuse Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).

Christopher Community currently manages more than 3,000 units and over 100 buildings. It administers Onondaga County’s Rental Assistance Program, which serves more than 1,200 households.
