People news: M.A. Polce promotes Figueroa

ROME, N.Y. — M.A. Polce, a managed IT and cybersecurity-services provider, has announced the promotion of Javier Figueroa to the role of cyber and information security services manager.

In his new role, Figueroa manages the company’s cybersecurity team and oversees internal and external security operations. He also spearheads the development and implementation of cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company’s goals and mission, M.A. Polce said in a release.

Figueroa, who previously served as a cybersecurity consultant at the company, works with clients directly as a security consultant and leads the deployment of the company’s cybersecurity, information security, and compliance services.

“Since joining us, Javier has quickly become an essential part of our security practice, and we are confident that he will excel in this new role,” M.A. Polce CEO Mike Polce said in the release. “His experience and certifications are a testament to his commitment to keeping organizations safe from today’s advanced cyber threats.”

Before joining M.A. Polce, Figueroa served as director of corporate IT and security services, as well as information security officer at HealtheConnections.

He holds a master’s degree in cybersecurity from Utica University and several industry certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional, ISACA-certified Information Security Manager, HITRUST Certified CFS Practitioner, and Certified Cloud Security Professional.
