People news: Morrisville State College names new director of Norwich campus

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. — Morrisville State College on Thursday announced it has named Jason Zbock as the executive director of its Norwich campus.

Zbock, who will be responsible for the daily operations of the Norwich campus, will begin his duties Sept. 2, the school said in a news release.

Morrisville State College is part of the State University of New York (SUNY).

Zbock had previously served as an assistant professor of mathematics at Morrisville State for more than 11 years.

He also was as an adjunct professor at Morrisville for the past year-and-a-half, the school said.

Zbock most recently served as the dean of institutional effectiveness and enrollment planning at SUNY Broome Community College. He also served on that college’s president’s executive council and as chair of the council of operational issues, part of the college’s shared-governance structure, according to the release.

Zbock earned both a bachelor degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in mathematics education from the University at Buffalo.

He is currently working toward his doctor of education degree in educational leadership from the University of Phoenix, according to Morrisville State.
