BUFFALO, N.Y. — Michael J. Todaro has been appointed to the management committee of M&T Bank, where he is executive VP overseeing its mortgage and customer asset management division.

Comprised of the company’s top executives and led by Chairman and CEO Robert G. Wilmers, M&T’s management committee meets weekly to set the direction and oversee the performance of the bank. M&T Bank is one of the 20th largest U.S.–based commercial bank holding companies. It ranks number one in deposit market share in the 16-county Central New York area.

Todaro began his career with M&T in 1995, serving in a number of positions within the mortgage division. Prior to joining M&T, he was responsible for national mortgage operations at Citicorp Mortgage and held various positions at Marine Midland Mortgage Corp. and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Todaro holds a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and an MBA degree from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He also serves on the executive committee for the Financial Services Roundtable’s Housing Policy Council.
