In this role, Cashman acts as the primary resource in the department for all outpatient related services with other health-care institutions and providers who refer testing to a Mohawk Valley Health System laboratory. She oversees the promotion of laboratory services, including the testing menu, “cutting-edge” technology, and MVHS’ partnership with Mayo Clinic Laboratories, according to a MVHS news release.
Cashman joined MVHS in May 2017, as a cytology assistant in the lab. Before that, she worked in physical therapy, providing skilled treatment in various settings. Cashman worked for Upstate Cerebral Palsy in Utica, and graduated from its Professional Development Institute: Foundations for Leadership program.
Cashman received her bachelor’s degree in health studies from Utica College. She went on to receive a doctorate degree in physical therapy and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Utica College.
Cashman’s office is located in the Marian Medical Building at the St. Elizabeth Campus.
