People news: MVHS names three new board members

UTICA, N.Y. — Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) recently announced three new board members — Waleed Albert, John R. Brumsted, and Savneet Singh.

Albert is an infectious-disease specialist at MVHS as well as Rome Memorial Hospital. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Trenton Affiliated Hospitals in New Jersey and a fellowship in infectious diseases at Albany Medical College and the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center. Albert also served as president of the MVHS medical staff.

Brumsted is the former president and CEO of the University of Vermont Health Network, where he also served as chief medical officer at Fletcher Allen Health Care. He completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as a fellowship in the division of reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Vermont College of Medicine.

Singh is the president and CEO of PAR Technology Corporation and a partner of CoVenture, LLC, a $2.5 billion multi-asset manager with funds in venture capital, direct lending, and cryptocurrency. He currently serves on the boards of CDON and TCGPlayer.

MVHS includes St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare, MVHS Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Visiting Nurse Association of Utica and Oneida County, and Senior Network Health. It has 4,200 employees and will open the 373-bed Wynn Hospital in downtown Utica this fall.
