People news: Nalley named fire chief at Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport

LANSING, N.Y. — Joshua Nalley, of Genoa, has been named fire chief and operations supervisor for the Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport.

Nalley replaces David Crawford, who held the position for the past 18 years. Nalley is responsible for training and supervising 10 firefighters who specialize in crash, fire, and rescue responsibilities at the airport, according to a news release. They also manage the airfield infrastructure, maintaining the runway and taxiways, and passing critical flight safety information about airport conditions to airport users.
