NORWICH, N.Y. — NBT Bancorp announced it has promoted its director of organizational development, William J. Butcher, to senior vice president.
He has 18 years of management experience. Before joining NBT Bancorp, Butcher worked at MeadWestvaco in various human resources and organizational roles. That included stints as manager of organizational effectiveness, organizational development consultant, and product manager in the company’s consumer products division.
Butcher has a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from SUNY Oswego. He has pursued graduate studies in organizational development and evidence-based coaching at Fielding Graduate University and holds certification in organizational development from the NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Science, NBT said.
NBT Bancorp Inc. (NASDAQ: NBTB) is a financial holding company headquartered in Norwich with total assets of $7.9 billion of Sept. 30.
