People news: NBT Bank promotes Horning to SVP

NORWICH, N.Y. — NBT Bank announced it has promoted Sharon Horning, deposit product manager, to senior VP.

Horning is responsible for the development, management, and strategic growth of deposit products and services providing market and customer analysis to support the banking company’s strategic initiatives. She has more than 26 years of banking experience. Horning joined NBT Bank’s marketing team in 2001 as market analysis and product manager following the bank’s acquisition of Central National Bank.

Horning earned her associate degree in visual communication from Fulton-Montgomery Community College and her bachelor’s degree in strategic finance marketing at SUNY Empire State College. She is a certified financial marketing professional and a graduate of the American Bankers Association’s School of Bank Marketing and Management.

NBT Bank has 154 branches in New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. The bank and its parent company, NBT Bancorp, are headquartered in Norwich. NBT Bancorp (NASDAQ: NBTB) had assets of $8.9 billion as of March 31.
